10,800 Mile 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera ?
Yes, a 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera with only 10,800 miles is now on it's way to Texas after only one day on eBay. I was shocked at how fast the car sold, with numerous offers flying the first day of the auction. The 911 had a 2-owner Washington history, purchased by my client with only 1,700 miles from the original dealer where the car was sold new at Bellevue Porsche, which is now Barrier Porsche http://barrier.porschedealer.com/ and serviced at the dealer since new. My client had taken the car out of storage about 6-months ago and had contacted me about selling the car for her, and then I did not hear from her for almost 7-months, so I thought she had changed her mind about selling the car, like a good number of clients do, but then she contacted me again and finally brought in the car. When she pulled up at my shop, I knew the car was special. It looked perfect. Totally stock white paint, which I later measured with a paint gauge, and it measure 4mm on the roof, hood, truck and the sides of the car measure 6mm. It was perfectly consistent with only minor imperfections from the painting process from the factory, as these cars were hand painted when produced. The interior was equipped with the factory radio, dark blue leather Sport seats that looked as if no one had ever sat in the seats, limited slip, paint to match wheels, sunroof, original window sticker with secondary window sticker, and all books. I felt privileged to be able to represent such an amazing example of one of the finest '89 Porsche 911's available. If you or anyone you know may be interested in selling their Porsche or specialty car, I put a great deal of energy into representing every vehicle and take great pride in putting an excellent marketing package together that will get your car sold, as well as placing it in the hands of another automotive enthusiast that will treat your car as you would. Favorite BMW ?
Although I have driven a good number of production BMW's, I have not driven them all, so, I will go from the collection of BMW's that I have driven, and which one's stand out in pure driving pleasure. There is nothing like drifting an e30 M3 around a corner in perfect control, just feeling the light back end with the most amazing balance of any car I have personally driven, but would that be my favorite BMW?, I'm not so sure. I currently have an e30 M3 being built using a euro e36 M3 motor with a 6-speed manual conversion, that will be putting out about 400hp normally aspirated once Dan Miller at Miller Performance gets done with it. https://www.millerperformancecars.com/ This may put a new favorite BMW on my list once I drive it. I have seen some amazing conversions, and although I am not the purest of purists, at this point in time in the market, I would not modify a collector quality e30 M3 to do a swap, but if the car is a shell, I would have no problem turning it into a track/street weapon. I have owned 4-e30 M3's over the years, all with the stock s14 and I love it, but I am more interested in torque now, because I don't drive like a crazy teenager anymore, and that is the only way to enjoy an e30 M3 as a daily driver. I have so many clients come into the shop with the interest of purchasing an e30 M3, and over 90% of the time, the leave in something else. Most people don't really know what an e30 M3 is, or what they really drive like. They love the body, they love the style and they love the history and what they represent, but then the reality kicks in that you are driving a 4-cylinder race car on the street, and unless the thing is wound up, it's not going anywhere, and that's not really much fun. I think with all of the early M-CARS, with the high revving motors, they all leave a little to be desired unless you can drive them the way they were intended to be driven, like a race car. I definitely have had the most fun while driving the e30 M3's, but if I had one moment that will stick with me forever, it would have to be when I was driving a 1973 BMW 3.0 CS during one of those late summer days in Seattle that make you forget about all of the nasty weather we put up with to just have a few amazing days of warm sunny weather a year. I was heading north on I-5 and I had all of the windows down, which on an e9 is one of the most stunning features, a pillerless body line and perfect design. I had the sunroof open with my left arm easily resting on the edge of the window sill. As I drove, I noticed that the wind that was pouring into the car created the most amazing gentile wind that swirled around the car creating an almost euphoric feeling, there were no harsh jabbing bursts of wind being forced into the car from poor design, but the most beautiful amount of wind that just played with the empty spaces created by the removal of glass and steel. The perfectly balanced engine, the wind caressing over the panels of the body, seamless motion, absolute perfection.
Wow, that felt amazing just writing about the experience. Ha Ha, it's in my blood.
I would really love to hear your stories. Please post yours. Thank you.

Who will be the highest bidder?
As one Porsche 911 rolls out the door, and another comes inn right behind it. It's amazing how much demand the early Porsche 911's have in the market. The last 1989 911 Carrera we sold had 10,800 miles and sold in 1-day on eBay. The newest 911 that we have just listed is another local 911 with excellent service history from Aker's Porsche www.yelp.com/biz/akers-seattle that has been placed on consignment by the current local owner. You can find the car listed on eBay at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280980607804&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:MOTORS:1123 I am very curious to see what this 911 will make. The '89 got much higher that I had expected, but it was an amazing car. The '85 is very clean with a few minor cosmetic items here and there, but a very solid driver with excellent service history. I did a very thorough photo documentation of the interior and exterior of the car, and really enjoyed detailing this car out. As you can see from the images, every inch of the car has been finely detailed and edged out. It looks very crisp. Have fun bidding or just enjoying the images. Insomniac in Seattle
What do you do when you have a shop full of amazing cars http://munichevo.com/ and your not a fan of sleeping? Well, you can go out for a drive and take pictures of the cars. Yes, I am not really into sleeping much. It's not that I don't enjoy sleep, it's just that I am so excited about what I am working on at the moment, that I never want to go to sleep. I just wanna play with cars and do marketing. After I closed my shop tonight, I drove the 2008 Porsche 911 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280979352237&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:MOTORS:1123 out to get some dinner at Dick's Drive In on 45th in Seattle http://www.ddir.com/, and then off to Starbucks at University Village http://www.starbucks.com/coffeehouse/store-design/university-village and did some marketing till about 12:00am, and then on the way back I remembered a cool parking garage that I have always wanted to shoot at, so, armed with my iPhone and an Instagram app, I was off. Here are a few of the images from the shoot. Ok, I am going to bed now [1:15am], but back up at 6:30 to hit another coffee shop and do some more marketing. I love making my dreams a reality. Good night everyone.

Here is a shot of my business partners newest acquisition. One of only 2 BMW M1 BASF Pro Cars. He is in Canada where the car has been for the past 20-years going for a few hot laps before the car is shipped back to Seattle and placed on display in our showroom at Munich Evolution. The previous owner has just had the motor completely rebuilt and when they were running the car during the break in period, the transmission was acting up, so they had it rebuilt as well. I am so excited to have this car coming into the shop. This will be the third M1 I have driven. We have another stock M1 street car coming in next month as well, so we will have all three in the showroom for viewing next month. Stop in and take a look if you are in the area. Here are a few video links of the car running in '07 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYqiij4HDgA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRDA6idrTaE&feature=related
1st Annual PCA event in Kirkland, WA.
We have had one of the most amazing Indian summers this year in Seattle, so what better way to enjoy the day then spend it with good friends and a great deal of amazing Porsche's at the first annual PCA event in Kirkland Washington. Although my love will always be for BMW's, I have grown to appreciate the drive of a variety of Porsche models. I have had a chance to drive some amazing cars within the line, and a few that stand out were the '04 GT3, '91 C4, 356, and the 912. I have been driving an '08 Turbo Coupe with Tiptronic, and I am not a fan. I want to love this car, but I am not a fan of Tiptronic, give me a manual gearbox any time. I know the new clutch less manuals are faster, but in my opinion they are so boring. I love manually shifting a car, there is nothing like it, and when you remove that feeling, you kill a part of the driving experience. Well, I will get into the who manual/automatic issue another time. So, for now, here are a few images from the event. About Munich Evolution and it's founder Matt LaCross
The Munich Evolution Philosophy
Munich Evolution was founded to offer BMW Motorsport enthusiasts a specialty retail location for selling, consigning, locating and managing their vehicles.
I have long been fascinated by the history and performance of the BMW brand. I have personally owned more than 15 BMWs, starting with a wonderful 1981 BMW 320i—that car hooked me forever on BMWs.
Over the years, I have worked in a variety of fields, all of which helped lead me to create Munich Evolution. I started in the alternative sporting goods market, working and managing Gregg’s Greenlake Cycles snowboard, in-line skate and skateboard shop. From there I moved to local sporting goods manufacturer K2 Corporation on Vashon Island, where I became the lead marketing and product development manager for their alternative sports markets.
After more than a decade in the alternative sport markets, I wanted to combine my art and entrepreneurial interests. My art has been displayed throughout the Seattle area and at a number of the city’s finest retail locations, such as Definitive Audio, but I knew I wanted my own space. And so I opened The Black Box Gallery, Seattle’s only “no-fee, no-commission” art gallery.
But my love of fine cars never waivered, and I have worked steadily in sales and management for a number of Northwest automotive dealerships. As my knowledge of BMWs and experience in business coalesced, I realized Seattle needs a retail location that caters exclusively to BMW Motorsport cars. This enthusiasm and experience is what sets Munich Evolution apart from other BMW retailers. I’m not a car salesman; the emphasis here is on the unique level of customer service people should expect from an establishment specializing in BMW Motorsport cars.
Please come by and experience a new standard in automotive retail.
